Anna Holiday Parade

October 24, 2019

Due to the new Covid restrictions that have been put in place, the City of Anna has to cancel the Giving Parade. But because we refuse to let Covid stop us from helping bring a brighter Christmas to the children, this is our plan;

November 28th from 5:30pm-6:15pm we will be doing a drive-thru present drop off at the Anna Fire Department. The Anna Fire Department will have the trucks decorated and will be playing Christmas music. Santa and his helpers will be there to collect the presents. At 6:30pm we are going to be lighting the newly planted Christmas trees in the park, also known as Gum Drop Drive. And for a special treat this year we have been fortunate to have Brad Dawson agree to end the festivities with a fireworks display. The fireworks display will be a 3-5 minute show. Although we know a lot of people that are disappointed with the cancellation of the parade, please remember this event is about something bigger than the parade. The Pay it Forward program which was started by Linda Jackson has been a blessing for families that need a little help. We all have an opportunity to make Christmas brighter for the children. This year has been rough on everyone, so let’s all do what we can to make it better for the children.
