EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, Anna City Hall lobby will be closed to the public. We will still be available via the drive-thru, phone and/or email. All utility payments can be paid through the drive-thru window, drop box or by paying online. New customers can obtain a utility application by clicking here or coming to the City Hall drive-thru.
Gas and Water
New Service Information: Anyone in need of gas & water must come in person to Anna City Hall and complete a utility application. Photo ID of the renter and the property owner’s signature is required on the application before services can be turned on or transferred to the renter’s name.
The following deposits are required:
- Gas: $175.00
- Water: $75.00
All utility bills are mailed out by the 5th of every month. Bills must be paid by 4:00 pm on the scheduled cut-off date or the utilities will be disconnected. If the utilities are disconnected, the City of Anna will not restore service until the previous balance and the current amount due are paid in full, along with all re-connection fee(s) that have been applied.
City ordinances prohibit anyone other than authorized City Personnel to turn City meters on or off. If you are in need of these services, please contact Anna City Hall at 833-8528. Please be cautioned that fines and meter repair costs may be imposed for violations of this policy.
Republic Trash Service for the City of Anna
Trash collection is Tuesday—Thursday with pick-up days determined by the route schedule.
Recycling pick-up is bi-weekly and runs on Fridays; you can find Republic’s recycling website link here, visiting the website can help you to find out what is appropriate to recycle.

Republic Services observes the following holidays:
- New Years Day
- Memorial Day
- 4th of July
- Labor Day
**For weeks in which one of the above holidays is observed, your pick up will run the day after your typical trash pick up day.
Big Trash Pick-Up
Effective immediately, there will be some changes in the residential trash services due to the public health emergency caused by the coronavirus-19 (COVID-19) outbreak.
All trash must be bagged and placed in a Republic cart.
Republic will not service any trash outside of the container, as we are trying to limit exposure to our drivers during this time. Additionally, in order to best protect and limit the exposure to our employees, Big Trash pick-up at curbside will be suspended until further notice.
These measures are effective in all communities that Republic Services provides trash service. We appreciate your support and understanding as we know everyone is working hard to prevent exposure during this pandemic.
