City of Anna, Public Works Manager

The City of Anna is accepting applications for the position of Public Works Manager. This position is responsible for management and operations of the Public Works Department, including Street, Park/Pool, Cemetery, Gas/Water and Disposal Departments. This position reports directly to the City Administrator and is on-call 24/7. The ideal candidate should possess at least 5 years management experience and experience in the area of Public Works or a related field. A Bachelors Degree in a related field is preferred but not required. Applicants must reside within 30 minutes of Anna City limits. Eligible applicants should possess or will be required to obtain the necessary Water/Gas/Sewer license required for the operation of the Publc Works Department. The City of Anna offers a competitive benefit package and a salary range of $65000+, dependent upon qualifications.

City of Anna, Police Officer

The City of Anna, IL is accepting applications for the position of a Full-Time Police Officer. Duties include but are not limited to enforcement of laws and ordinances, protection of life and property, order maintenance, apprehending suspects, monitoring traffic, as well as preserving the peace and service to our community. Minimum qualifications for an interested candidate are as follows; must be a U.S. citizen, have a valid driver’s license, possess a valid Illinois FOID card, must pass a medical and criminal background check, and reside within 30 minutes of the corporate limits of Anna. Preferred but not required qualifications include certification from the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board. City of Anna, Paid On-Call Firefighters

To be eligible for this position the applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing, as well as background checks
  • High School Graduate 18 years of age or older
  • Be a resident of Union County-Preferably the Anna Response Area
  • Have a valid Class “C” Driver’s License; successful applicants will be required to obtain a Class “B” within 60 days of employment
  • Have reliable transportation with proof of valid insurance
  • Be physically fit and capable of performing all duties
  • No beards or goatees

**Experience preferred but not required, training will be provided by the department.**
